Chemical data bases |
|
| GESTIS data base | Extensive, proper organized, easy understandable. Everybody working in a lab and every group head who keeps his staff busy with hazardous compounds should have a bookmark to this data base! |

Roth-Weller Hazardous Reactions (Gefährliche chemische Reaktionen) |
Standard work. Part of the data of harzardous reacting chemicals are given in tables, for others detailed descriptions including reports of accidents are found. All together there are app. 1750 componds listed. WEB-Ressource (Campus licence), available in German only. |
| SiFaWeb | More data bases, warning symbols for download, first aid, accident reports and much more. (German only) |
| protective gloves | How long does a protective glove withstand a certain chemical? A freeware data base for download gives help. Download restricted to FU computers |

| Global Harmonised System |
With the GHS-Converter you may estimate a GHS-classification from the data of the EU-Classification (R-/S-Sätze + Symbol) Please note that the tool will only give roughly values but the results will be better if you can add more data like UN-number, flash point etc. |
| BGIA-Report "Gefahrstoffliste" | Labelling according to 67/548/EEC (Legal labelling), TRGS 900 (Air limit values at the work place), TRGS 903 (Biological limit values) TRGS 905 (List of carcinogenic, mutagenic and teratogenic compounds), TRGS 907 (List of sensitizing compounds) - all "official" statements which are valid in Germany are to be found in one single book. Freeware, German only. Frequently updated. |

| GHS-Piktograms with Hazard Notes | This is an initiative of the BG Chemie to keep alive a "faciliated labelling" of chemical bottles in the lab under GHS conditions. "Faciliated labelling" means that only name and pictogram are needed for labelling in the lab but no H- and P-phrases. This is allowed to do if these special labels are used. |
