My general research area is the quantum chemistry and quantum dynamics of small molecules, using ab initio techniques for calculating the potential energy surfaces and wavepacket dynamics to simlulate the nuclear motion on these surfaces, including coupling to the electric field of ultrashort laser pulses for analysis and control of the reactions.       Watch a movie showing quasicoherent vibrations in HONO2 as RealMedia or MPEG.

Most of my time I spend with administrating the HP and Linux Cluster of the group of Prof. Manz, which are part of the Chemnet.
