This element sets up a block of text which will be presented in a fixed-width font, with space and carriage return/line feeds as significant. It must also be noted that <pre> must start on a new line.

This is an example of the <pre>tag. You will notice(crlf)
      that     spaces     are significant and the font(crlf)
is fixed width. The carriage return line feed "crlf"(crlf)
was inserted into the text by me not by the browser.(crlf)
It is important to note that this was the original(crlf)
method of presenting tables.
