A real pain for HTML authors is the presentation of mathematical equations. This tag addresses this problem. The unfortunate part is the only browser to support it, UdiWWW, is, itself, no longer supported. <math>math content</math>

Having said that, UdiWWW has implemented a version of <math> that could be very useful for authors supporting a scientific community. I present all of the math tags in the math tags sitemap but I do not describe them. There was a version of =math> in HTML+ and another in HTML 3.0. Neither garnered much support. I would have included full explanation of the tags, their attributes and arguments but UdiWWW has not been developed or supported since July of 1996, in effect making these tags "orphins". The author, Bernd Richter, still maintains a site to support the current version at the UdiWWW Web Site where you can download the last version. If you feel that I should more completely describe these tags, please let me know.
