| Abstract | The 330 mg to 12 g scale synthesis of a variety of arylene (3,5-8) and hetarylene building blocks with bipyridine (16,17,19) and terpyridine units (21-23,25) by and for transition metal mediated cross-coupling reactions is reported. All these compounds carry hexyloxymethyl substituents mainly for solubility reasons. |
