Neurotoxic factors in Parkinson's disease and related disorders
August 6-7, 1999 – Ulm, Germany

Meeting Place: University of Ulm, Medical School

Format: Invited speaekers, posters

Program: The role of neurotoxins in the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease is still unknown. There is growing evidence for potential endogenous and exogenous compounds that selectively damage dopaminergic neurons. The goal of this satellite symposium is to gather key researchers in the field and stimulate new ideas in this area, to induce other scientist to refresh the field with new ideas and techniques as well as to develop treatment strategies that counter the early neurodegeneration that neurotoxins may be causing.

Speakers (partial list): S. Przedborski (New York, NY, USA), R. E. Burke (New York, NY, USA), J. Sanchez-Ramos (Miami, FL, USA), S. Ohta (Tokyo, Japan) and G. Dryhurst (Oklahoma, OK, USA)
